tralala-tuesday
what a chilly, chilly morning.last night i dreamt of history Os which came as a surprise exam (that is, applicable to me only lahh. the world apparently knew) and somehow i had spent time queuing for lunch than studying. queues were expectedly long and when i started to panick and desperately attempted to revise, i discovered my hist textbook had morphed into elit KOTC guidebook. next, my hist textbook magically found its way back to me aft i came out from the toilet but i could not flip to the topic on china. all i saw was germany, russia, japan, more germany - no china. then more panicking cos i saw the results board. Os results. 2004. haha no wonder i saw familiar seniors loitering around looking at my weirdly. so.
okay my dream dint make sense. maybe it's the consequence of my mental debate while i was doing the dishes ytd. thought: would i rather still be studying for Os or cleaning windows? think i kinda left that hanging so it evolved to a meshed up dream. i've convinced myself that while the world is having an awesome social life, what i'm doing now will be beneficial to my future. at least if i ever resort to a matchmaking agency, my portfolio will be brilliant. i can clean any (or shd i say, every) part of the house and oh yes, i can cook. right, i 've been having advance home ec practicals in the kitchen. cook soup, wash pork ribs, chop vege, slice fish, marinate minced meat. it wasnt the most pleasant experience handling once-alive foodstuff but sure, i'm game for the next adventure. (tip: wash hands thoroughly with fragrant soap e.g. dove) and i've mastered the skill of lighting the stove too. perhaps lighting the bunsen burner during chem prac helped. did i mention i go marketing as well? no problem, throw me in ntuc supermarket and i can find my way around. i promise i wont be terrorized by the bright lights, huge signs that say "poultry" etc, and by the shelves of urm, milk powder. hmm, mother says i'm special; whoever marries me will be one lucky chap. my bro and i tell her young human species who willingly does houeswork during sch vacation has ceased to exist; we're extinct.
anyway, i've conducted a massive filing session and the whobbly pile beside my study table is no longer whobbly. but my files have officially failed to make it into my study cupboard. in fact the shelf i occupy has caved in dangerously and is threatening to crash onto my bro's stuff on the shelf below. whoa.
sunday's towning with mel, xin, gen, ling, deb, lou and geri (who joined us later) was relatively exciting. the lady at metro was nice enough to accomodate a whole troop of us into the dressing room to check out deb and lou's gowns. and haha the lady who provided some aid at the ladies section was qte warm&friendly too. dint manage to get anything, which means another shopping trip is needed. gosh i cannot believe grad is exactly one week away.
lately this thought has been recurring in my mind: the world would be a better place if everyone appreciates everyone around them more. it's all abt appreciation man. how easy it is for everyone to fall prey to taking things/people for granted. then again sometimes i wish i wouldnt feel so much. the intensity scares me.
the weather's still very very cold.
/ leave me be.
